The term Foursquare has both biblical and architectural roots. In general it refers to being equal on all sides. This equality of all sides provides a metaphorical, and an actual, experience of strength. Repeatedly in the biblical references, foursquare is an instruction for constructing sacred sites such as temples and synagogues. How do we build a foursquare faith? Why would we want to? Do we even think it is possible?
